The hybrid system combines a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a pair of electric motors, resulting in a combined output of 200 horsepower and 232 pound-feet of torque.

Borrowing hardware from the Honda Civic Type R, the chassis of the 2026 Honda Prelude draws directly from Honda's performance playbook. It incorporates dual-axis front suspension to improve turn-in response and minimize torque steer, while the wide stance enhances stability. Brembo brakes and adaptive dampers ensure precise handling, whether you're winding through the Cajon Pass or gliding down Sierra Avenue. Drivers can also activate the new Honda S+ Shift, which simulates realistic gear changes and rev-matching, restoring the rhythm and feedback that enthusiasts prefer, without sacrificing the seamless nature of its hybrid drivetrain.
